Accrediting Body

An independent body that performs thorough reviews of a facility’s policies and practices for measuring their quality of service and performance against nationally recognized standards. If the accreditation standards are met, accreditation status is granted. Hospitals are routinely accredited; accreditation is voluntary for other types of facilities.
