Medicare Open Enrollment . . . CHP Advantages

Donna Wells, Medicare Specialist,
Capital Health Plan
Sales Department

Capital Health Plan is proud to offer our community three Medicare plan options with added benefits and CHP quality: Our CHP Medicare Advantage program is ranked highest in the Southeast by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The Annual Election Period is November 15-December 31. This is the time that current members can change Medicare plans and non-CHP members can join one of our Medicare plans. CHP is making it easy to learn details through seminars, brochures, and online resources.

Enrollment in CHP Medicare Advantage plans is open to anyone with Medicare Part A and Part B who lives in Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden, or Jefferson counties. Advantage plans cover all parts of Medicare (including Part D drug benefits), offer extra benefits, and cost less than many Medicare supplemental plans.

CHP Preferred Advantage includes generic prescription drug coverage throughout the year, even during the government's coverage gap known as the "doughnut hole."

CHP Advantage Plus is our original, popular Medicare plan. It carries a lower premium than CHP Preferred Advantage, but does not include generic coverage during the gap.

CHP Retiree Advantage is sponsored by some employers. Through the plan, Medicare-eligible retirees continue their group health plan, including the group's copays and unlimited drug coverage with no gap.

Capital Health Plan-local and nonprofit-provides exclusive extra benefits and a 25-year history of community commitment. Medicare members enjoy our large physician network, no deductibles, virtually no paperwork, and preventive care extras such as routine physical, eye, and hearing exams; eyeglasses; health/fitness reimbursements; weight loss and other programs; 64 local pharmacies and nationwide Walgreens; and worldwide emergency care (please see plan documents for details).
