CHP Medicare Plans
The Advantages Grow!
Open enrollment for Medicare is here: November 15-December 31, 2006. Are you eligible? If so, Capital Health Plan has some advantages that you should know about: Our three CHP Medicare Advantage Plans. Each plan covers all parts of Medicare-including Part D drug benefits-and also gives you extra benefits and Capital Health Plan peace of mind.
- CHP Preferred Advantage is our newest Medicare plan. It includes generic prescription drug coverage during the coverage gap. The gap, nicknamed the "doughnut hole," is a period when Part D coverage requires you to pay 100% of drug costs, instead of a copayment. In 2006, the gap began when your total drug costs reached $2,250 and ended when you had spent $3,600 out of pocket (total for the year). In 2007, the gap begins when your total drugs costs reach $2,400 and ends when you have spent $3,850 out of pocket.
- CHP Advantage Plus is our original and very popular Medicare Advantage plan. It does not provide generic prescription drug coverage during the gap but carries a lower premium than CHP Preferred Advantage.
- CHP Retiree Advantage is sponsored by some employers. These employers allow you to continue your group health plan through CHP after you are eligible for Medicare. CHP Retiree Advantage includes the employer group's copays and unlimited prescription drug coverage with no gap.
CHP Convenience, Quality, and Extra Benefits
Whatever your CHP Medicare Advantage plan, you can count on our commitment to community health since 1982, a wide network of physicians, no deductibles, virtually no paperwork, and important benefits beyond hospital and illness care. For example:

- free health education programs, including weight loss and disease management
- 61 participating local pharmacies and Walgreen's nationwide
