Wisdom of the Ages
See & Hear "Wisdom of the Ages" Before August 28!
Do not miss this exhibit at the Brogan Museum in Tallahassee. (In fact, why not tour the exhibit after attending a wonderful seminar and lunch? See details below.) Wisdom of the Ages is living history-as well as incredible present and inspiring future-because the exhibit is about 26 Floridians 85 years or older, living among us now. Four are from Tallahassee. The interactive Wisdom of the Ages offers personal portraits in both photographs and words. Recordings with each photo let you hear a first-person story. The exhibit shows age as a gift and value: satisfactions of family, work, and community; hometown and worldwide experiences; vitality to this day; and eyewitness of historic milestones. Are you already inspired? Tell it to the Story Booth at the exhibit, where you can record your own memories. The last day of Wisdom of the Ages, a Brogan original exhibit, is August 27.
Positive Aging Workshop, Lunch, & Museum Tour
Seniors, their children and caregivers are welcome! As part of the Wisdom of the Ages exhibit, the Brogan Museum has partnered with Big Bend Hospice for a half-day seminar to promote positive aging. Capital Health Plan is proud to be a sponsor of this informative program. The panels include CHP's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, CHP physicians, and other community experts. Boston Market is providing breakfast and lunch.
