CHP Network Includes Prestigious Medical Centers in Florida and Georgia
Shands Teaching Hospital, Gainesville, Florida
Emory School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia
Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida
While most Capital Health Plan members never need care beyond our highly regarded local network of physicians and service providers, it's nice to know that CHP can arrange for necessary care at some of the most highly respected facilities in the Southeast: the Universty of Florida's Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta.
These institutions are part of our network, which reaches past our four-county service area to provide care not available locally. CHP works with local physicians and experts, as well as those at respected regional facilities, to build strong relationships and partnerships. These relationships, in turn, provide access to high-quality care for our members.
"Tallahassee physicians have worked closely with doctors at Shands and Emory," said CHP chief medical officer Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, "and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare's affiliation with Moffitt Cancer Center allows new avenues of coordination and collaboration between doctors in these institutions. We are pleased to offer these high-quality choices to our members needing tertiary care." As always, your primary care physician is your source of advice and referral should the need arise.
