Dr. Harrison Award
The Harrison Humanitarian Award was created in honor of, and first presented to, Dr. I.B. Harrison, a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. Dr. Harrison tirelessly served the people and physicians of our area as director of Medical Affairs at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, teacher in the hospital's Family Practice Residency Program, board member of both CHP and Westminster Oaks Retirement Community, and a founder of Neighborhood Health Services. The annual award recognizes a local physician, selected by a committee of his or her peers, whose career best represents Dr. Harrison's exemplary values: skill, integrity, compassion, and commitment to the community.
They Ran for Spring and Their Lives
Congratulations to all of the walkers and runners who kicked up their heels for the 30th Annual Springtime Run, during Tallahassee's spring festival. Spring is a heady time, and celebrating it with exercise is a healthy thing. Capital Health Plan is proud to be a co-sponsor of the event with the Gulf Winds Track Club.
