If you are traveling within the United States and territories and become ill, or lose or run out of your prescription drugs, remember that Capital Health Plan has over 62,000 retail pharmacies in our pharmacy network. Simply check our Pharmacy Locator or call 1-800-966-5772 for the closest location.

Extra Help From Medicare

Medicare provides "extra help" to pay prescription drug costs for people who have limited income and resources. Resources include your savings and stocks, but not your home or car. If you qualify, you will get help paying for your Medicare drug plan's monthly premium and prescription copayments. Your premium generally will be lower if you receive extra help from Medicare.

Transition Process

Sometimes you are taking a drug that is not on our fomulary. Check this section for details on what the transition process is.

Formulary

A formulary is a list of covered drugs that represents the prescription therapies believed to be a necessary part of a quality treatment program. The formulary is selected by Capital Health Plan in consultation with a team of health care providers.

Formulary Change Notice

Capital Health Plan may add or remove drugs from our Medicare formulary during the year. We will post a new Formulary Change Notice each month.
