Capital Health Plan Is...
In 1982, we began Capital Health Plan because we saw the need for a quality, affordable health care system that could respond to the needs of our community. Back then we started small with just 5,000 members and 75 physicians. Today, with great support from the communities we serve, I’m proud to have seen us grow to more than 118,000 members and over 425 physicians.
Plan Ratings
Capital Health Plan is among the best health plans in the nation and is the top-ranked plan in Florida according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in "NCQA's Medicare Health Insurance Plan Rankings, 2011-2012."
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rates how well Medicare health plans perform in different categories. You can see or download the CMS ratings at the link below.
Plan performance summary star ratings are assessed each year and may change from one year to the next.

Service Area
We are growing – Beginning in 2012 Capital Health Plan will serve Franklin County in addition to the Florida counties of Calhoun, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty and Wakulla.
