Once again, CHP supported the American Heart Association Start Heart Walk. Capital Health Plan sponsored and manned the Victory Wall, inviting the estimated 5,000 participants to sign their name for themselves or a loved one who suffered from heart disease. CHP had a walking team of 35 participants, and was present with the fruit stand at the event.

Capital Health Plan was a sponsor for the 2010 AIDS Walk. CHP employees participated with a team of 65 members.

Capital Health Plan sponsored a team in the Second Annual Gold's/Women's World Corporate Cup Challenge. CHP was also the Sponsor for the Strength and Endurance competition. The event, promoting wellness in the workplace, was attended by 164 employees, and hundreds of their cheering supporters.

To support the Sickle Cell Foundation of the Big Bend, CHP had a 47-person team in this year's Sickle Cell Walk.

CHP was a sponsor of the first annual Capital City Senior Games May 23 -26, 2010. The event was run by the Tallahassee Senior Center and the Parks & Recreation Department. The weekend featured 150 senior athletes participating in various competitions throughout the city.

Capital Health Plan sponsored the fourth annual 5K Run benefiting the Friends of Wakulla Springs on May 15, 2010. This year’s race drew over 350 registered participants, all happy to see the CHP fruit stand waiting for them at the finish line.

To help the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in "taking steps to cure Cystic Fibrosis," CHP participated in the 2010 Walk with 38 employees.

On April 17, CHP supported the CHP March of Dimes walking team with our fruit stand. There were 75 CHP employee participants.

CHP was once again the presenting sponsor for the Silver Stars program on April 14, recognizing seniors active in our community. This year's recipients included: Wille Belle Bell, 92; Queen Bruton, 78; Norman and Ann Booth, aged 79 and 78; Nelle Carter Bunn, 81; and Wilbur Jones, 98.

As part of Children’s Week, Capital Health Plan had a booth at the Children’s Capitol for Day on April 13 to promote CHP Champions. Young visitors to the booth got to practice the Champions workout routine.
